Pictures

Okay I only took 2 pictures today. Nothing much to see. They must have worked on it today because we now have pipes. I didn't k ow they worked on a Saturday.

It has begun

I was surprised to to find out that our land has been excavated and the peering has been done today. We couldn't get any clear photos because it was too dark. I'll take some tomorrow when the sun is out. So excited now that construction has started!!!

Discontinued!

Just got notified that the bricks we have chosen has been discontinued!!  We initially selected the Chiara from PGH bricks but have now changed it to the Sorbetto.  It's an extra $1023 but i like the brick better than the Chiara. 

Pegs are in

It has been raining for the past couple of days and i wasn't expecting any progress this week, however we went past the land tonight and were surprised to find that the survey field work had been carried out.  

The picture isn't very clear but you can kind of see the peg there.

So does anyone have an idea what happens next?  I think it's the form work and pipes?

Site start appointment

Okay so we have had our site start appointment.  We were given our final construction drawings and variation items early in the week to look over it and make sure everything was correct.  All we had to do at the appointment was sign the documents.  We were also told that the site was being pegged out and that they would get back to us next week to let us know when our actual start date would be.  What's the point of having a site start meeting if they aren't going to tell you when they are going to start construction.  Seems a bit pointless to me.  I drove past the lot a couple of times on Friday and Saturday - still no pegs!

I was hoping that we would be in our new home by christmas but i really doubt this is going to happen!

Progress

Spoke with our CSA @ Eden Brae today and we've been given a site start appointment date. It will be happening next week. Does anyone know how long after that appointment the construction will start? Fingers crossed we can start before August

I'm bored so here's a picture of our block of land.

Approval

So Eden Brae have confirmed that the building has been approved by the private certifiers. Now just waiting on the DA check and the site start appointment. Hopefully things move a little faster from now on.
